Margaret Moore
Margaret Moore, seen here with some of the results of her
morning weeding out Himalayan Balsam, or some other undesirable
vegetation, is currently in charge of the Trust's activity in
maintaining the Site of Special Scientific Interest.
She has much to occupy her. There are some hundreds of wild
flowers, a good selection of trees, more than a hundred bird
species and in one night a local moth study group counted 180
different species of moth. The examples of the various plant and
animal species found on the estate shown on these pages are far
from the whole story.
