Victorian Evening

Particpants in the Victorian Evening

The people pictured have all been important to the Trust throughout its early years. John Bason, on the left is an electrical engineer who has maintained the power supply to the Hall. Max Ellerslie, appropriately portraying himself as the squire of Victorian melodrama, was Chairman of the Trust for 16 years until 2003. Joan Dean, in pink, has been a mainstay with her husband Roger, who was Treasurer for a period, and both have kept the Hall going on Open Days. Pictured with Joan is Betty Burns, whose husband, Jack, was the volunteer-in-chief in the early restoration activities. At the right is Kay Bason with Jo Lewis. Kay started most of the worthwhile fundraising activities and has been a major driving force for the Trust for almost 20 years.

These pictures and many more in this presentation are from the collection of Roger and Joan Dean.
