Water Orton Bridge was built with stones from the Manor House at Bishop Vesey's instigation to link up the surrounding hamlets. St. Blaise's chapel, where Bishop Vesey attended school as a child, and which bears his effigy, is shown, together with cottages, which he provided for the poor, some of which still stand.
