Afternoon Tea was introduced into Britain in the 1840s, just after our South Dining Room was built, to ward of the hunger between luncheon and the late evening meal. Now usually a special treat for a celebration or a good excuse to have a good chat with friends.
~ Afternoon Teas are served in our South Dining Room at 2pm.
~ You will need to make sure that you have also booked an admission ticket for the day of your Afternoon Tea.
~ We have gluten free and vegetarian options available, please make your dietary requirements clear in the comments section when you book.
~ A smaller portion option is available for children under 5 years old, please get in touch with us for more information.
~ Due to government restrictions we are unable to take bookings of more than 6 people or two households on dates before 19th July.
~ When you are ready to sit down head to our Tea-room and let our team seat and then serve you.
~ All Afternoon Teas need to be pre-booked online, there is no option to order them from our Tea-room on the day of your visit.
