Hidden behind our beautiful Tudor Barn are 12 small independent retail businesses within a peaceful Victorian stable yard. This tranquil rural retail hub is home to a popular coffee shop and you will be able to find everything from antiques and jewellery, to herbal products and quirky gifts. You will also find a multi-award winning Thai spa and a dog grooming service.

Bake 180 Coffee Shop is a fabulous independent coffee shop here at The Courtyard open 7 days a week. You will always receive a friendly welcome and excellent service from the team. From fresh, flavourful breakfasts to luscious Afternoon Teas, heavenly cakes to an aromatic coffee range, there is something to please all tastes. Bake 180 Coffee Shop offer vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options and use environmentally friendly take-out containers.
Bake 180 is run by Sarah Exall who started her journey with The Courtyard back in 2012 making and selling cupcakes. In 2014, Sarah moved into a bigger unit and has since grown her charming little cupcake business into a popular eatery for both locals and people travelling from all over the UK to visit Middleton Hall & Gardens.

Odonata Studios is owned and run by Gillian Salisbury a local silversmith and jewellery designer. She came to Middleton Hall in 2016 after years of exhibiting in local Craft Fairs and has loved every day since then. “Coming to Middleton Hall Courtyard every day isn’t like going to work, it’s like a holiday” she says. “Seeing the pool as I drive through the estate, breathing the fresh air and hearing the birds, is so good for the soul and I hope that that is imparted into my jewellery designs and reflected in the other works in my shop.”
As well as selling Gillian’s unique jewellery designs, all created with sterling silver, gemstones and hand crafted glass from UK glass artists, Odonata Studios also carry a selection of specimen minerals, and a collection of beautiful pieces of craftsmanship from other British artists and designer-makers which have all been carefully selected by Gillian for their bright outlook and nature themed designs.

Jan and Mike Eddington are the proud owners of Meadowview Antiques, a family business that has been serving visitors to The Courtyard for the past twelve years. Jan and Mike have over 40 years of experience in collectables and specialise in rare antiques and vintages items.

Barkley’s Dog Grooming is an established dog grooming service, offering the best quality pampering for your canine friends. Barkley’s is owned by Tina Owen, an experienced and compassionate dog groomer who has been here at The Courtyard since 2009. Tina knows that every dog is different and has their own individual personality and requirements, so she always takes time to make sure your beloved pet feels safe and happy whilst getting a stylish trim. The outside area of our Courtyard is dog friendly.
SplitSmiths, are the latest addition to our wonderful Courtyard! Having previously operated a luxury bar from their 1966 Volkswagen split screen at events and celebrations, owners Tom and Emily are pleased to have expanded their growing business and found a permanent base here at The Courtyard. In their shop you will find a range of products that are different, exciting and unique, distilled by like-minded people who share the same passion and vision as Tom and Emily.

Chalk & Linen is run by the smiliest face in The Courtyard, Jacki Ward. Jacki and her husband, Russ have been running their small independent businesses, Chalk & Linen for over six years. They have a sister shop in Atherstone and we were delighted when they expanded their business and started a second shop here at Middleton.
Jacki is a furniture artist and sells a range of quirky and interesting decor for the house and garden. She is a proud stockist of Annie Sloan paint and was professionally trained by Annie Sloan herself, allowing Jacki to pass on her skills to others through personalised 1-2-1 workshops.

Entangled Wool Merchants, a wool shop with a difference! Here you can buy any of the hand-crafted items ready-made or commission a unique piece for yourself. Bring a pattern to Debbie and she will make it for you in a yarn of your choice.
